He was predeceased by : his parents, Carl Huckaby, Sr. and Mary Ben Flores (Reed); his half-brother Mark Huckaby; and his brother Jimmy Huckaby. He is survived by : his siblings, Vicki Ingram, Ricky Huckaby (Teresa), Carla Landeros (Joe), Mellisa Ogden (Mike) and Melony Zimmerman (Steven); and his caregivers, Travis and Sherry Ables. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Southern-Edmonds Funeral Home Chapel (228 Allen Ave, Jonesboro, LA 71251). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Carl's honor can be made to the Springhill Cemetery Fund or the Wounded Warriors Project.
