He was predeceased by: his wife Margie Sonnier Meaux; his parents, Ovey Meaux and Lula Bourque Meaux; his brothers, Wilfred Meaux, Dallas Meaux and Norris Meaux; and his stepsons, Rickey Breaux and Randy Breaux.
He is survived by: his children, Geralyn A. Meaux of Kaplan, LA, Edward J. Meaux (Gina) of Arnaudville, LA and Timothy J. Meaux (Paula) of Prairieville, LA; his grandson Branden Lundy; his great grandchildren, Hannah, Braxton and Chloe; and his stepchildren, Becky Conley (Kimble) of Kaplan, Mark Breaux (Annette) of Kaplan and Scott Breaux (Lynn Hebert) of Kaplan. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
