She was predeceased by: her parents, David Ramos Calderon and Angela Araya of Ramos; her sons, Juan Manuel Mendieta and Jose Horacio Mendieta; and her brothers, Julio Cesar and Angel Ramos.
She is survived by: her children, Maria Carlos Alberto (late Juan) and David A. Mendieta (Elvia); and her siblings, David Ramos, Norma Ramos Saybe, Virma Ramos, Blanca Thibodeaux and Maria Ramos Wetzel. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
