He is survived by: his wife Pamela Willard McCarthy; his children, Dorothy, Willard (Jerry Orgeron), Brian and McCarthy, Jr. (Savannah); his grandchildren, Nathan, Natalie, Katie and Brianna; his siblings, Colleen McCarthy, Timothy McCarthy (Lisa) and Erin McCarthy; and his godmother Eleanor Graphia. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
