It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doretha Hughes (Kenner, Louisiana), who passed away on June 25, 2019, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her children, Lillie, Leander and Jerome Hughes. She is survived by: her children, Sherry Hughes, Tammy Hughes Deemer, Sylvia Knox and Ernest Hughes; and her siblings, Rosemary Bates, Annie Mae Bates, Willie Swington and Louis Swington. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
