She was predeceased by: her parent Juanita Victor; and her sibling Lillie Bell Newton. She is survived by: her parent Adolph Scott, Sr.; her spouse Willie Baptiste, Sr.; her children, Cynthia Baptiste Schaeffer and Willie Baptiste, Jr.; her siblings, Adolph Scott, Jr. and Anna Mae Scott; her grandchildren, Wayne Arceneaux (Nicole), Erik Arceneaux (Cynthia), Nicole Arceneaux and Brad Arceneaux (Lxchelle); her friend Miss Lela Mae Robinson; and her godchildren, Sharon Juanita Kendrick, Raymond Baptiste, Jr. and Barbara White. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
