He was predeceased by: his spouse Joyce Hooper Hotard; his stepchild Lyle Hooper; and his parents, George F. Hotard, Sr. and Robertine Minville Hotard. He is survived by: his significant other Kay Ducharms; his children, Wendy H. Smith (Eddy), Cindy H. Oubre (Brian) and Brian K. Hotard, Sr.; his stepchildren, Larry Hooper, Dana Hooper (Susan) and Gary Hooper; and his grandchildren, Ashley Bates (Jason), Dustin Smith, Erica Oubre (Cody), Brian K. Hotard, Jr. (Kayla) and Trevor Hotard. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
