He is survived by: his wife Maria Ellender Florek; his mother Anna McMahon Florek of Lakeland, FL; his children, Michael "Andy" Florek of Lafayette, LA and Katie Florek (Jody Marcel); his granddaughter Emma Marcel; and his siblings, James Florek, South Bend, John Florek (Patty Berkowitz), Tim Florek (Kim), William Florek and Margaret Ann Florek Wheeler (Cliff). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in memory of Michael Florek to St. Jude Children's research hospital or Carmelite Nuns, 7201 West 32nd Street, Little Rock, AR 72204.
