He was predeceased by: his wife Abigail Lowery Valladares; his son Mario; his granddaughter Isabella Valladares; his parents, Rodolfo Valladares and Carmen Ortiz of Valladares; and his sibling Rene Valladares.

He is survived by: his children, Anna Maria, Jorge and Carlos Valladares; his grandchildren, Carmen, Monica, Cecilia, Gabriel and Nicholas; and his brother Oscar Valladares.
