He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Eugene, Elise Lechler, Albert and Ella Keff; his parents, Marion Francis Lechler Colbert and Curt Otto Lechler; his stepfather Lionel Andrew Colbert; and his brother Curt Otto Lechler Sr. As.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy Elwell Lechler; his son Lionel Matthew Lechler; his siblings, Raymond Paul Lechler, Adelaide "Bootsie" Colbert Rule, Madelyn (Gary Ybarzabal), Joanne (Wilson Martin), Mary Botsay and Vicki Lechler; and his cousin James Jacobson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and longtime friends.
