He was predeceased by: his parents, Maude Rita Smith and William Howard Barr; and his brother Richard Barr. He is survived by: his wife Catherine Erato Barr; his brothers, Michael Barr, John Barr, Peter Barr and Howard Barr; his children, Mark Gagliano, Cindy Gagliano Streva, Mary Walker, Stephanie Goss and Tanya Scherer; and his grandsons, Mark Gagliano, Jr., Matthew Gagliano, Michael Streva and John Streva. He is also survived by his four great-grandchildren.
The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, send donations in his name to the local chapter of the Down Syndrome Association of Greater New Orleans.
