It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Bankston (Kentwood, Louisiana), born in Amite, Louisiana, who passed away on September 2, 2020, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jewel Cox and Annie Mae Stokes Cox; her husband Curtis Ray Bankston, Sr.; her sister Shirley Jean Bennett; and her grandparents, Otto Stokes, Sr., Cora Lee Lebo Stokes, Philon Cox and Deane Mulina Cox.
She is survived by: her children, Curtis Ray Bankston, Jr. and Cheryll Lynn Bankston Shea (Paul); her grandsons, Matthew and Daniel; and her siblings, Carolyn Hyde, James Cox, Floyd Cox, Dwane Cox and Ronnie Cox.
