He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce Ann Johnson Dabney; his parents, Rosemary McBride Dabney and Wilson Dabney, Sr.; his sisters, Cora Lee Bell Starks, Albertha McBride Holly and Earlene Dabney Bowers; and his grandson Kentrell Dabney, Jr. (Williams).
He is survived by: his children, Kentrell Dabney, Sr. (Sophia), Rontrell Johnson, Jeremy Johnson, Darius Johnson, Stephanie Dabney, Joyce Johnson (Priest), Jill Johnson and Rasheeda Johnson; his siblings, Wilson, Jr. (Millie), James, Sr., Warren (Norma), Alton (Lasheena), Walter Dabney (Valerie) and Rosetta Brumfield (Leroy); and his aunts, Hilda Webster and Edith Melancon. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
