He was predeceased by: his wife Ellen Finger; and his parents, William Finger and Joyce Finger. He is survived by: his children, Lydia Ingram (Tyler), Atticus Finger (Sara) and Mavis Daigle (Darrell); his grandsons, Bowen Ingram and Luke Daigle; and his brothers, William Finger, Timothy Finger and Thomas Finger.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial donations be made to the Friends of the LSU Library.
