He was predeceased by: his father Joseph Melvin Thibodeaux; and his son Lance J. Cavalier Sr.. He is survived by: his mother Alma "Boops" Landry Thibodeaux; his wife Cynthia "Tina" Thibodeaux; his children, Jessica "JayLynn" Lynn Thibodaux (Corey Chiasson) and Taylor "Bubba" Wilton Thibodeaux (Rae Domangue); his grandchildren, Lance "Little Lance" Cavalier Jr., Lailey Jade Cavalier, Taylor Nicole, Braedyn Dale, Luke Joesph and Cullyn Grace-Aaron Thibodeaux; his siblings, Ann Thibodeaux, Jean Cooley (Lance) and Dean Thibodeaux; his sister-in-law Tammy Adams (Randy Babin); and his siblings' children, Steven Cavalier III, Andre Herbert, Whitney Thibodeaux and Anthony "Tony" Adams.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to have future masses held in his name.
