He was predeceased by: his parents, Sidney Dugas and Lovenia Ernest Dugas; his siblings, Mildred Channell, Elizabeth Broussard, Hazel Senegal, Milton Dugas and Riley Dugas; and his children-in-law, Peter D. Broussard and Brenda Wilson Dugas.
He is survived by: his wife Novella Chiasson Dugas of Lafayette, Louisiana; his children, Carole Broussard (Peter) of Carencro, Louisiana, Alton Dugas, Jr. (Brenda) of Houston Texas, Allison Dugas (Jacqueline) of Katy, Texas and Dwight Dugas (Shelly) of Lafayette, Louisiana; his siblings, Clara Dugas of Duson, Louisiana and Eddie Dugas of Duson, Louisiana; and his sister-in-law Mabel Chiasson Malveaux. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers that donations for mass be sent to Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Lafayette, Louisiana.
