He is survived by: his children, Tory Helaire (Lena), Ignatius Helaire (Renee), Malone Comeaux, Amilcar Simpson, Melkeisha Comeaux, Mignon Simpson, Mayola Comeaux, Mades Comeaux, Marie Mouton, Malynka Comeaux and Katena Simpson; his siblings, Beatrice Martin, Ursie Helaire Davis of Houston, TX, Verna Figaro (Noah), Anna Bell Alexander, Thomas Helaire (Dorothy), Amilcar Helaire, Jr., Alton Helaire and Clifton Helaire; and his godchild Lea McCoy. He is also survived by 31 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
