It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Asia Barras of Lafayette, Louisiana, born in Houma, Louisiana, who passed away on September 4, 2020, at the age of 36, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Laura Vidos, Pete and Hazel Anslem; her close friend J. R. Creveling; and her uncles, Kenneth Vidos, Freddie Vidos, David Vidos, Gerald Anslem and James Anslem.

She is survived by: her father Michael Anslem Sr. (Elaine Falgout) of Morgan City; her children, Sierra Adams of Lafayette and Zachary Barras of Lafayette; her mother Susan Daigle of Jeanerette; her brothers, Michael Anslem Jr. (Danielle) of Morgan City, Matt Anslem (Angela) of Patterson, James Pete Anslem of Gibson and Tyler Daigle of Houma; her godchildren, Alena, Payton, Zoey, Anastasia, Elliot, Rhett, Sienna and Brylon; her grandparents, James Vidos of Morgan City, Doug and Deanna Daigle of Gibson; and her close friend Jesse LeBlanc of Lafayette. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, godparents and cousins.
