It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Jean Myers Jones of Lafayette, Louisiana, who passed away on April 3, 2024, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Herbert Jones; her parents, Lorena B. Moss and Archie Myers; her sisters, Gladys M. Newcoste and Juanita "Sis" Moss; and her grandson Dontrell J. Chaisson.
She is survived by: her sons, Joseph Chaisson III (Veloria) of Lafayette, LA and Schandez Chaisson Sr. of Lafayette, LA; her sister Betty Reaux of San Antonio, TX; her grandsons, Schandez Chaisson Jr., Joseph Chaisson IV, Kaen Helaire, Markale Thibeaux, Travis Thibeaux and Devon Thibeaux; and her great grandchildren, Schandez Chaisson III and Mia Baptiste. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
