It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Cheatham of Lafayette, Louisiana, born in Albany, Georgia, who passed away on June 16, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Joseph Ragan and Edith Ragan; her children, Alicia Leger (Aaron) of Lafayette, LA and Cary L. Cheatham Jr. of Lafayette, LA; and her husband Cary Cheatham Sr. Private. She was also cherished by four grandchildren; six great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
