It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Betty Jane Belaire Varisco of Lafayette, Louisiana, born in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, who passed away on July 21, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Maurice Belaire and Marie Toucheck; her siblings, Lanis Belaire, Maurice Belaire, Jr., Louella Choplin and Mary Ann Foote; and her brother-in-law Dennis Daigle.

She is survived by : her husband Frank Varisco, Jr.; her sons, David Wayne Varisco (Janie) of Lafayette and Victor Joseph Varisco (Wanda) of Lafayette; her grandchildren, David Varisco Jr. (Esther), Brandon Varisco (Lisa), Ryan Baudoin, Kira Kana (Radim), Tyler, Seth, Collin, Sophie and Gracie Varisco; her siblings, Ray Coomer (Ann) of Frankston, TX, Hazel Daigle of Breaux Bridge, Mary Nell Courville (Alpha) of Breaux Bridge, Euline Vanwee of Morgan City, Eunice Langlinais (Carol) of Milton, Verna Mae Fruge of Lafayette, Diane Marie Braquet of Breaux Bridge and Carma Glas (Fred) of Lawrence, KS; and her siblings-in-law, Delores Belaire, Paul Choplin and Jack Foote. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Sunday, July 25th 2021 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Monday, July 26th 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Melancon Funeral Home Chapel (4117 N University Ave, Carencro, LA 70520). A rosary was held on Sunday, July 25th 2021 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A mass was held on Monday, July 26th 2021 at 2:00 PM at the St. Peter Roman Catholic Church (102 N Church St, Carencro, LA 70520).
