She was predeceased by: her parents, A. C. Maraist and Aline Chappuis; her siblings, Eulalie Sonnier, Yvonne Simon, Andrée Lalande and Francis Maraist (Buzzy); her grandchildren, Jaime Mayers and Jeremy Mayers; and the father of her children Hardy Edmiston.
She is survived by: her spouse Hardy Edmiston; her children, Steven Edmiston, Susan Edmiston Guidry (Bill), David Edmiston (Gema) and Nancy Edmiston Schuler; her grandchildren, Megan Mayers Guidry (Tim), Katie Mayers, Anna Laura Edmiston (Eric Auclair) and Kaleb Schuler (Hannah Rupert); her great grandchildren, Lula Auclair, Odile Auclair, Mary-Frances Roussel, Juliet Claire Roussel and Baby Suire; her brother P. Jules Maraist (Nancy) of Lafayette; and her grandchildren, Drew Edmiston, Christor Guidry, Eric Auclair, Tim Guidry, Butch Roussel, Mitch Suire, Erin Edmiston Roussel, Abby Guidry Suire and Haley Edmiston. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
