It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clay Benton of Lafayette, Louisiana, who passed away on July 27, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice Benton and Amanda Huval. He is survived by: his wife Vesta Maturin Benton; his daughters, Wanda Gail Stonicher and Gwendolyn Ann Williams (Scott); and his sister Mary Ann Lemoine. He is also survived by five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
