We are sad to announce that on June 5, 2021, at the age of 86, Daisy Lou Wessinger (Lafayette, Louisiana), born in Rosedale, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Noah Wessinger and Orelia Wessinger; her husband Morris Byrd; and her siblings, Eliza Wessinger, Rosa Lee Harris, Oneida Anderson, Eli Wessinger, Noah Wessinger, Earl Levy and Horace Wessinger.

She is survived by: her sister Gloria Dean Wessinger of Lafayette, LA; her sister-in-law Linda Wessinger of Baton Rouge, LA; her grandchildren, Diamond Nelson, Edden Peterson and Brayonna Monroe; and her godsons, Nathaniel Anderson, Jr., Craig Harris and Quentin Anderson.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, all attendees must wear masks or face coverings.
