It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Eugene Fergus of Lafayette, Louisiana, who passed away on July 13, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Fergus and Helen Curtis; his wife Rosemary Fergus; his brother Richard Fergus; and his nephew Rickey Fergus.

He is survived by: his children, Butch LeBlanc (Janeice), Claudia Fergus, Tricia Ward (Mike), Donna Brown (John) and Amy Prudhomme (Drew); his grandchildren, Guy, Charlie, Causey, Tiffany, Ryan, Doni, Kayleigh, Marcy, Macie, Justin and Blake; and his great grandchildren, Logan, Daylen, Jackson, Tallen, Blaize, Chloe, Bentley, Kayson, Lila, Emersyn, Brittyn, Lincoln and Mila.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that donations be made to Wounded Warrior Project, St. Judes, and Acadian Hospice.
