She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl A. Jenkins and Ruth Welch Jenkins; her husband Ira Burleigh; her brother Allen; and her sister-in-law Anne Jenkins.
She is survived by: her children, Melinda Burleigh Bender (Bill) of Baton Rouge, LA, Elaine Burleigh Hudgens (Ray) of Hampton, VA and James Hamilton Burleigh of Lafayette, LA; and her grandchildren, Caitlyn Bender, Annie Hudgens and Russell Bender. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and lifelong friends.
