It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Draxa Morehead Hopkins (Lafayette, Louisiana), who passed away on November 22, 2019, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Jackson Morehead and Robbie Watts Morehead; her husband Roy Hopkins; and her son Thomas Carl Hopkins. She is survived by: her children, Patty Jean Williamson of Asheboro and James Roy Hopkins of Lafayette, Louisiana; and her sisters, Billie Jean Long of Southaven and Helen Trigg of Pensacola, Florida. She is also survived by five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
