He was predeceased by: his wife Doris C. Godfrey; his parents, Leonce Godfrey and Hattie Formen Godfrey; his siblings, Lee Godfrey, Sidney Godfrey, Vida Malveaux and Juanita Fuselier; his brothers-in-law, Harold Fuselier, Anthony Malveaux and Alton Arceneaux; and his close friend Florence Broussard.
He is survived by: his children, Earl P. Godfrey, Jr. (Debra) and Sandra Lilly (Eric); his grandchildren, Porshau G. Alexander, Julian Lilly, Desiree Wade (Philip) and Jared Lilly (Jenn); his great grandchildren, Duchess, Kamdyn and Kadyn Alexander; his sisters, Dorothy Arceneaux, Edolia Godfrey and Margaret Prejean (Benedict); and his sisters-in-law, Theresa Godfrey and Mary L. Godfrey. He is also survived by loving nephews, nieces, family, & friends.
