It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elizabeth Starr Heard of Lafayette, Louisiana, born in Des Moines, Iowa, who passed away on February 4, 2021, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Starr and Mae Wood; her husband Stephen "Dick" Heard; and her brother George Starr. She is survived by: her brother Luther Burney; her children, Beth Frith (Terry) of Lafayette and Steve Heard (Sheryl) of Pooler, GA; her grandchildren, Crystal Morgan (Brian) of St. Augustine, FL, Benjamin Frith (Danielle) of Lafayette, Rebecca Frith of Seoul, Susannah Frith of Orlando, FL, Christopher of Pooler, GA, Allison of Pooler, GA and Lauren Heard of Pooler, GA; her brother James Starr (Ruby) of St. Paul, MN; and her sister-in-law Theresa Heard of Houma. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
