He was predeceased by: his parents, Oleus Romero and Opal Romero; and his sisters, Earline Romero Savoie and Hilda Romero. He is survived by: his wife Gail Bernard Romero of Lafayette, LA; his children, Shaun Marie Romero-Godshall (Demian) of Pikeville, NC, Kelly Marie Romero Gil (Kevin) of Castle Rock, CO, Shannon Marie Romero Thibodeaux (Troy) of Lafayette, LA, Chad Joseph Romero (Jenna) of Flower Mound, TX and Allison Marie Romero Dickinson (Ryan) of Castle Rock, CO; his brother Curley "CJ" Romero (Mary) of Youngsville, LA.; his grandchildren, Anthony, Brendon, Caitlyn, Davynn Godshall, Spencer Gil (Aubrey), Madison Gil, Joey Thibodeaux (Emily), Jacob, Jordyn Thibodeaux, Elise, Gracyn, Nicholas Romero, Owen, Ava and Ella Dickinson; and his great grandchild Ayden Gil.
With regards to the most recent mandates of the current pandemic, masks and social distancing are required for gatherings in both the funeral home and the cemetery.
