It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eugene Jean-Batiste Jr. (Lafayette, Louisiana), who passed away on May 10, 2022, at the age of 45, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his significant other Cedrick Wiley; his sister Larena Jean-Batiste; his grandparents, Harrison Ledet, Sr., Georgianne Simon, Lucille and Julien Jean-Batiste; and his godmother Catherine Williams.
He is survived by: his parents, Lorita Jean-Batiste, and Eugene Jean-Batiste, Sr.; his siblings, Loretta Jean-Batiste, Resear Phillips, Stacy Roberts, Regina Jean-Batiste, Eric Jean-Batiste and Raymond Jean-Batiste; his godchildren, Quindez Alexander, Aaron Jean-Batiste and Kaylee Roberts; and his godfather Joseph Williams, Sr.. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
A rosary will be recited at 9:45 a. m. All those in attendance must wear a mask or face covering.
