He was predeceased by: his father Francis Green Sr.; and his half-brother Jonathan Green. He is survived by: his mother Mildred Green (Burney) of Lafayette, Louisiana; his wife Lorena Ann Green (Monette); his sons, Malcolm Green (Dedra) of Lafayette and Francis Green III of Woodbury, Minnesota; his siblings, Carol Ann Green of Lafayette, Louisiana and Harold Green (Geri) of Phoenix, Arizona; his half-sister Naomie Lockett (Eric); and his grandchildren, Deiondre Green, Kobe Green of Lafayette and Ashley Green of Woodbury, Minnesota.. He is also survived by the oldest of three siblings and had two half siblings.
