He was predeceased by: his parents, Dock Ford Brown and Sallie Lavania Sims; his sister Patti Brown Goleman; and his son Steven Harrell Brown. He is survived by: his daughter Kelly Plagens; and his granddaughters, Madeline Plagens and Lillian Plagens.
