With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jimmy Slay Jr. (Lafayette, Louisiana), who passed away on December 15, 2019 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Broussard Slay and Jimmy A Slay Sr. of Lafayette, LA.; his parents-in-law, Essie and Angelle LeBlanc Duplin; and his brothers, David Broussard and Bobby Slay.

He is survived by: his wife Lou Anna Duplin Slay; his son Jason Slay (Stephanie); his grandchildren, Blake Slay (Kerra Teal Slay) and Lindsie Slay; his great grandchildren, Abel James Slay and Nevaeh Fitch; and his sisters, Ann Copeland (Kit) and Vicki Folgate (Barry). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be made to help defray funeral expenses.
