With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John E. Sorrells D. Jr. in Lafayette, Louisiana, born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, who passed away on December 5, 2020 at the age of 83. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John E. Sorrells D. Jr. to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his wife Marlene Sorrells; his parents, Dr. John E. Sorrells and Bertha Gwin Sorrells; his brother Robert Sorrells; and his daughter-in-law Donna Hannon Sorrells.

He is survived by: his sister Gwin Sorrells Jones (Ross Jones); his great grandchild Jason; his friend Barbara Marshall; and also, Hayden Paul Sorrells, Ashton John Sorrells, Bryce Barton, Elyse Barton, Stephanie, Ethan Dunker and Abigale Dunker. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donating to the Lake Charles Community Band and/or St. John's Lutheran Church.
