He is survived by: his wife Rena Duhon Monette; his children, Joseph Johnny Monette Jr. (Darlene) and Johnetta Monette Augustine (Bryan Sr.); his grandchildren, Shanasi Monette, Brianne Augustine and Bryan Augustine Jr.; his great grandchildren, Mckynzie, Jaycie, Emanie and Melvin Jr.; his sisters, Mary E. Kennedy (Robert) and Lorena Green (Francis Jr.); and his godchildren, Robert Kennedy Jr., Malcom Green, Ella Kennedy and Kristen Long. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
