With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Leo Alvin Lemelle (Lafayette, Louisiana), born in Leonville, Louisiana, who passed away on September 1, 2020 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ethel Lemelle and Raphael Lemelle; his son Michael Lemelle; his siblings, Mary Walita Lemelle-Auzenne, Marie Mildred Calloway and John Albert Lemelle; his parents-in-law, Yola and Junius Etienne; and his siblings-in-law, Ella Mae Etienne Bernard, Marie Lemelle, Laura J. Etienne, Curley Etienne, Alvin J. Etienne and Jerry Calloway.

He is survived by: his wife Rose Etienne Lemelle; his grandchildren, Mister Xavier Lemelle (Dana), Angela Lemelle Landry (Bryan), Desrielle Rose Gale, Benjamin Michael Gale, Layla Lemelle, Layna Michelle Lemelle and Mister Darvelle Lemelle; his brother Paul Earl Lemelle (Alice); his aunt Laura Gray; his siblings-in-law, Eldraka (Weston Broussard) of Washington and Delton Auzenne; his daughter-in-law Amelia Auguillard; his godchildren, Terry Auzenne and Joshua Etienne; and also Theresa Etienne (Hubert Kelly). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, all attendees must wear masks or face coverings at the funeral home, church and cemetery.
