She was predeceased by: her parents, Mabel James and Sydney James Sr.; her daughter Tiffany Batiste; and her siblings, John Larry James, Sydney James Jr. and Paulette James.
She is survived by: her husband Alton Batiste of Lafayette; her children, Bridget White (Patrick) of Baton Rouge and Brayln Batiste (Tasha George); and her sister Paula Hardy (Danny). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 11, 2022, at Syrie Funeral Home from 8:30 a. m. until 10:30 a. m. All those in attendance must wear masks or face coverings.
