With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lydia Mae Francis Simon (Lafayette, Louisiana), who passed away on April 13, 2021 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her daughter Leona "Penny" Belcher; her parents, Rena Francis and Vennus Francis; her granddaughter Katherine Simon; her sisters, Rita Senegal, Gustava St. Julien and Mildred Morris; and her brothers-in-law, Morris Senegal, Travis St. Julien, Clifton Morris and Roy Breaux, Sr..

She is survived by: her husband Leo Simon, Sr.; her children, Leo Simon, Jr. (Vicki), Rene Simon (Janice), Jonathan Simon and Tangela Simon; her sister Eva Breaux Eaglin; her close friend Luci St. Julien; and also Harold Alexander. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; two step grandsons; nine great grandchildren.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, all attendees must wear masks or face coverings.
