Cormier of Lafayette, LA, Raymond Alexander (Shirley) of Lafayette, LA, Willie Mae Showers of Lafayette, LA, Mary Alice Williams (Junius) of Lafayette, LA and Rozaline Alexander of Loreauville, LA.; his son Darrel Edmond; his grandchildren, Murphy Edmond Sr., Stefon Zenon and Crystal Jean; his siblings, Leroy Edmond and Bernice Edmond; his siblings-in-law, Junius Alexander, Milton Alexander Sr., Pearly Alexander Sr., Robert Alexander Sr., Jimmy Leblanc, Lionel Leblanc, Horace R. Alexander, Vorice Alexander and Jennifer H. Alexander; and his siblings' children, Jeremy R. Alexander, Alex G. Willis and Debra Robertson. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, all attendees must wear masks and practice social distancing.
Murphy was called home on Thursday September 24, 2020 after a lengthy fight with Prostate and Colon Cancer, Parkinson, and Dementia.
