He is survived by: his wife Dolores "Dee" Lavergne Piazza; his children, Peter "Tre', Charles Piazza III (Amy), Jon-David Piazza (Rebecca) and Marianna Piazza Luquette (Dylan); his siblings-in-law, Judy Lavergne, Kem Lavergne Maturin (Jim) and Kermit Lavergne; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Dylan, Elijah, Rozalie, Violet, Wade and Vikki; his pets, Leica and Nikon; his sisters, Donna Girgan (John), Carla Bowman (Glenn), Gwen Moss Lanoux and Jacalyn Moss Egan; his cousin Ed Piazza (Cindy); his godchildren, Crane Girgan, Lynn Laverne Miller, Elizabeth Riley, Katheryn Riley, Riley Clare Valentine and Amy Hanks; and his caregivers, Terri LeBlanc, Dr. Vernon Valentino, Stella Prejean, Dr. Kenneth McCarron, Dr. John Martin, Dr. Anthony Blalock, Mary and Kent. He is also survived by friends who've stood by Peter and family for many years.
