He was predeceased by: his parents, Moses Alfred Jr. and Eula Mae Comeaux Alfred; and his brothers, Robert Earl Alfred, Lee Marvin Alfred, Ronnie Lee Alfred and Paul Harvey Alfred.

He is survived by: his daughter Monica Bartie; his granddaughter Martine Bartie of Lafayette; his siblings, Elizabeth Batiste (Jimmy) of Carencro and Glen Joseph Alfred of Lafayette; and his close friend Clifton Williams (Gwen). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
