He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Louise Brasher Boone; his daughters, Rhonda Boone Sellers and Melanie Boone Williamson; his son-in-law Mark Sellers; his parents, Artie Boone and Ada Peacock Boone; his sister Gloria Nell Dickey; his sibling's child Rory; and his siblings-in-law, Teddy Brasher (Mary), Edwin "Bo" Brasher (Helen), William Roy Brasher, Bobbie Brasher Oliva and Mildred Brasher Jenkins (Willie Jenkins).
He is survived by: his son Robert Gene Boone, Jr. (Iris) of Lafayette; his son-in-law Kevin Williamson (Shea); his grandchildren, Jason Boone (Ashley), Justin Boone (Aimee) and Brigitte Boone Hawsey (Brian); his great grandchildren, Analise, Abigail, Hayden, Haylee, Hogan, Reagan, Kennedy, Jackson and Grant; his sisters, Sandra Wiggins and Beverly Boone; and his brothers-in-law, David Brasher (Cindy) and Gerald Brasher (Billie).
