He was predeceased by: his wife Beverly Rideaux Morgan; his parents, Gilford Morgan, Sr. and Agnes Mitchell Morgan; his siblings, Gilford Morgan, Jr., Geraldine "Liz" Guidry and Barbara Nell Batiste; his great grandchild Aliza Adams; and his great-nephew Caleb Guidry.
He is survived by: his children, Vickie Hopkins (Kenny), Tina Hebert, Shelton Morgan, Jr. (Danetta), Audrey Batiste, Michael Batiste (Edna Woods), Weldon Jolivette (Katie), Mark Armstead (Lisa) and Paul Armstead (Yolanda); and his siblings, Savie "Sue" Carmouche, Wilton Morgan (Verdie) and Fredrick Morgan (Betty). He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, relatives and friends.
