Shirley White Obituary

We are sad to announce that on September 11, 2020, at the age of 68, Shirley White of Lafayette, Louisiana, born in Franklin, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Richardson, Sr. and Agnes Rideau Richardson; her brother Wilfred Richardson, Sr.; and her grandparents, Joseph, Cordelia Richardson, Ozema and Amelia Rideau.

She is survived by: her sons, Christopher White, Jr. (Delores) of Franklin, LA, Demarcus White (Shaneeka) of Dallas, TX, Charles White, Sr. (Ashley) of Lafayette, LA and Jamal White of Dallas, TX; and her siblings, Dorothy Howard (Joseph Sr.) of Franklin, LA, Woodrow Ricahrdson of Franklin, LA, Agnes "Marie" Richardson of Franklin, LA and Melvin Richardson, Jr. (Diane) of Lafayette, LA. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be observed on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at Greater St. Stephen Baptist Church, 305 6th Street Franklin, LA from 9:00 AM until funeral services at 11:00 AM, with Minister Jarrod D. Benjamin, officiating. (All visitors are asked to adhere to the CDC/local regulations by wearing masks and practicing social distancing).
