He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph Bertrand and Amy Guidry Bertrand; and his daughter Cathy Greenlee. He is survived by : his children, JoElla Kibodeaux (Lonnie) of Alvin, TX, Charlotte Soileau (John) of Lake Arthur and Garyn Bertrand (Wendi) of Tulsa, OK. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
