It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Diana L. Watlington (Deridder, Louisiana), who passed away on July 25, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Diana leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Diana may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis James and Edwenner Ingram Ervin; her husband Bobby Watlington; her brothers, Louis James Ervin Jr., Ulric Ervin and Oldon Ervin; and her sister-in-law June Ervin.
She is survived by: her daughter Ashley Simmons of Moss Bluff; her sister Rosemary Williams of DeRidder; and her granddaughter Madison Simmons. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Grace Church (1103 W 1st St, DeRidder, LA 70634). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
