It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Dorothy Gene Sahlmann (Lake Charles, Louisiana), who passed away on December 18, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Edwin and Helen Williams Ford Swindle of Jefferson County, Ark.. She is survived by: her husband Dr. Frederick Gustav Sahlmann Jr. (Fred); and her friend Donna Guidry Little of Lake Charles.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that friends consider making a donation to the Lake Charles Symphony.
