It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Edgar Raleigh Poole Jr. of Lake Charles, Louisiana, who passed away on June 4, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Virgie Poole; his parents, Edith Beatrice and Edgar Poole, Sr.; and his siblings, Garland Poole, Charolette Cooley and Curtis Poole.
He is survived by: his children, Belinda Rowland (Jimmy) and Kevin Poole; his siblings, Sharon Comeaux (Toby) and Larry Poole (Joan); and his grandchildren, Keisha Smith (Dalton), Ashlee Rivett, Justin Poole (Christen), Alissa McClure (Brandon), Triston Poole (Olivia) and Garrett Poole (Kara). He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral Home (4321 Lake St, Lake Charles, LA 70605). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Highland Memory Gardens (6325 Common St, Lake Charles, LA 70607).
