He was predeceased by : his parents, Johnnie Reed, Sr. and Leona Moore Reed; and his siblings, Clevland Reed, Levene Reed, Gilbert Reed, Joseph Reed, Tommy Reed, Sammy Reed, Bertha White, Selena Reed and Margaret Reed.

He is survived by : his wife Elsie Jean Reed of Lake Charles, LA; his son Kenneth Wayne Reed of Aledo, TX; his brother Herman Jennings Reed of Lake Charles, LA; and his grandchildren, Braill Alexandria Reed, Johnnie Trainer Reed and Elsie Elizabeth Reed. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
